Those fantastic orange fogs on K40? I imagine most people see them as a flaw but I love them! I have got some footage back and this effect makes the modern day seem really 70's retro. Is it something happening in the camera or is it actually on the film? Who needs video? Roll on!

On S8?? It might be flash frames from when you removed the cartridge. It is easy to do with 16mm daylight spools--It will occour at the head and tail....Tha is if I am thinking of what you are speaking of.
Good Luck

I haven't noticed orange fogging that much when shooting Super 8, but tend to notice it more on my regular 8 films. I am also curious as to what causes it. I think it probably does have something to do with light as it seems to happen at about the point where the film is removed from the camera and flipped. Sometimes it does look kind of cool, but it can also be frustrating when it happens at the wrong time.

It occurs half way through a 12 second clip and I can only assume light has got to the film but I am not sure how.

I guess I don't know what you are talking about. I have only seen an "Orange Fog" with daylight spools.
